It is on a window frame and it looks too narrow to use Decorators Caulk.

Use painters caulk anyway, force some in, cut off the excess
poochie
and paint. simple as doing a quick splatter job on the carpet

You just cut the caulk tube really fine and away you go. Smooth

any excess of with a damp cloth or filling knife.

It might disguise the gap initially but I think it will sink or
Sugar lump
crack in time. A fine filler like polyfilla should fill the gap and the

paint should bind it and hold it in place.Caulk tends to be coarser than

Decorators caulk is *exactly* what it needs. Wood swells and
cutie pututie
contracts, don't forget.
